Rola Embarks On New Adventure With Brand Ambassadors

Rola, Australia's original roof rack company, has today announced it has partnered up with three new brand ambassadors in pro big wave surfer Ryan Hipwood; pro wake boarder Josh Sanders; and pro mountain bike rider Niki Gudex.

Since Rola started making their first roof rack and carrying accessories in the early 1980’s, the company has been focused on helping people experience their adventure. Rola’s motto of ‘just add adventure’ is synonymous with the brand and the new ambassadors help deliver this to their markets.

Ryan, Josh and Niki will work closely with the company to test and develop products, participate in marketing campaigns, be involved in instructional and fitment videos, and make appearances at shows and events.

About Ryan Hipwood

At 27 years old Ryan Hipwood is one of the most well-respected and recognizable big wave chargers in the world. As an accomplished free-surfer, Hippo found his niche in the surfing world by discovering the art of Big Wave surfing. In 2009, Ryan was runner-up in the prestigious Billabong XXL Big Wave Awards for surfing a monster wave at Shipsterns, Tasmania that nearly took his life. And in 2012 he was nominated for Billabong XXL Ride of the Year for his massive backhand barrel at Cloud Break, Fiji.

Hippo is always pushing the limits and is constantly searching the globe on an endless quest to find the biggest, most perfect waves. It is this passion for chasing monster slabs and fearless nature that has made Ryan one of the most photographed and respected surfers in the world.

About Josh Sanders

Josh Sanders is one of Australia's wakeboarding living legends. With two decades with Obrien Wakeboards, over a decade with Supra Boats and 14 years as a Redbull Athlete, Josh has been an integral part of teaching people how to wakeboard and growing wake boarding in Australia. Josh has done projects from surfing on his wakeboard in Tahiti to hitting Red Bull rails in Egypt. In 2005 Josh Sanders wake boarder was USA Pro Wakeboard Tour champion and King of Wake Champion competing against his friends, Philip Soven, Parks Bonifay, Danny Harf and Australian Daniel Watkins.

Josh Sanders and his brother Justin Sanders run the Australian Wake Boat Manufacturing plant for Supra Boats and Moomba Boats and have been a big part of the New Supra SA 550.

About Niki Gudex

Niki Gudex is Australia's most recognisable and highly regarded female biker. She competes in both Downhill and Cross Country, and after only two years of professional riding won the Australian National Championships Series in both disciplines. She has raced on the Australian DH and XC National teams, and continues to perform at both national and international biking events. She finished top ten of the 2008 All Mountain World Championships in California, USA.

Graduating from the University of Wollongong with a Bachelor of Creative Arts majoring in Graphic Design and New Media, Niki was also crowned the university's 'Sportsperson of the Year'.
